Option 1 – Program Policies

  • Live in one of our designated service areas. If you live outside of our current service areas, please do not apply to our program at this time.
  • Have your own electrical meter (not shared with any other residence or suite within your residence/building).
  • Have a WiFi (internet connection).
  • Have a major credit card. Right now our program only accepts either VISA or MasterCard.

APPLICATION

  • All applicants agree that they are responsible for the installation costs outlined on the ZAPBC website.
  • Applicants are only entitled to the ZAPBC EV charging solution incentive that is offered on the date of your application. In order to receive this incentive, you must complete the installation process within 30 days of your application date. (For clarity: If you apply to our program and do not have an EV charging solution installed in your home within 30 days of the application date, you will lose any and all entitlement to an incentive. There is no exception to this). If your installation is not complete within 30 days, your application will close automatically and you will have to re-apply to our program.
  • Applicants must be the registered owner of the home, or have the written permission from their Landlord in order to install an EV charger.
  • All applicants must understand that you will be agreeing with all of the program’s policies outlined on this page in the application process.
  • In our application process you will be asked to agree with our Privacy Policy. It can be viewed here.
  • All applicants must provide accurate information in the application. Your answers to the questions will be stored in our database and the application details will be provided yourself (as a download) and the electrician. Differences between the rough estimate quote payment and the final installation cost will be based on this information.
  • Applicants are required to download a copy of the application and have it available for reference when the electrician arrives. You will be prompted to download this at the end of the application process.
  • Incentives are limited to one (1) per household. If you require more than one EV charger, please contact us.

Applicants are required to download a copy of the application and have it available for reference when the electrician arrives.

PROGRAM PARTNERS

  • All applicants understand that the only party authorized to represent ZAPBC under Option #1 to provide a quote and install a ChargePoint charger in your home is Foreseeson Technology Inc. For Option #1 our program incentive is not available through any other company or electrician in BC, or for any other EV charging system.

NON-REFUNDABLE INSTALLATIONS COSTS

  • All applicants must agree that after the ZAPBC EV charging solution is in your home, under no circumstances will you be able to request to have it uninstalled, return the equipment and/or request a refund. Some new EV vehicles come with a charger. If you have not yet purchased your new EV and are unsure whether or not it will come with a charger, make sure you find this out BEFORE applying to our program.

FINANCIAL

  • The incentive you receive under Option #1 will not be issued in the form of a cheque, but will be applied as a point-of-sale discount off the total cost of the charger and installation costs.
  • After you receive a rough estimate of the installation cost from Foreseeson Technology Inc. there may be some added costs that you will be expected to pay (as determined by the electrician), depending upon the complexity of the installation in your home.
  • You must agree that once you are provided with a rough estimate and accept it, you will be required to pre-pay the full unit and installation cost, less the $1,100 incentive amount. You must also understand that this payment will be made when you book an installation appointment with a Foreseeson Technology Inc. representative.
  • All applicants must have a major credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) in order to pre-pay the rough installation estimate.
  • All applicants must agree to provide credit card information over the phone to a Foreseeson Technology Inc. representative or to an electrician at the point of installation if additional installation costs are assessed.
  • You must agree that once the electrician is on-site and reviews your specific installation requirements and compares that to your rough estimate, that you may be required to pay additional installation fees if deemed required by the electrician.
  • All applicants must understand and agree to pre-pay the rough estimated installation cost and any additional charges deemed necessary by the electrician on-site. If for any reason you decline to pay the total installation cost once the electrician arrives and adjustments are made to the cost, a fee of $150 will due and payable to Foreseeson Technology Inc. to cover the cost of the electrician. The $150 fee will be deducted from your refund of the pre-paid rough estimate amount.
